E-Learning and Distance Learning
E-learning and distance learning is not the same thing, but they do overlap. E-learning refers to learning supported by the web. Distance learning refers to a learning situation in which teachers and student do not meet face to face.
The Benefits of E-Learning
E-learning has many benefits. For example, online materials can deliver very current content that is of high quality (created by content experts) and consistent (presented the same way every time). It also gives students the flexibility to learn from any place and at any time, and at their own pace. In corporate training centers that use e-learning, learning time is generally is shorter, which means that people can be trained within given a timeframe. This system can reduce training cost s as well as the expense of renting facility space.

Drawbacks of E-Learning
Despite these benefits, e-learning has some drawbacks. To begin with, students must be computer literate. Instructors also may need training to be able to teach electronically. Besides, students may miss the face-to-face interaction with instructors. The purchase of additional multimedia equipment may be necessary. Finally, assessing students’ work can be problematic because instructors really do not know who complete the assignments.

Virtual Universities
Virtual universities are online universities from which students take classes from home or at an off-site location, via internet. A large number of existing universities offer online education of some form. Some universities, such as the University of Phoenix, California Virtual Campus and the University of Maryland, offer thousands of courses and dozens of degrees to students worldwide, all online. Other universities offer limited online courses and degrees but use innovative teaching methods and multimedia support in the traditional classroom.

Gadget
Panasonic DMC-FZ7
Almost a year to the day since the introduction of the hugely popular FZ5 (and 4MP sibling the FZ4) - itself an upgrade to the FZ3 - Panasonic has announced its successor, the 6 megapixel DMC-FZ7. As well as a design facelift and an extra megapixel, the FZ7 introduces several handling and performance improvements over the FZ5, not least of which is the inclusion of manual focusing and significantly easier control over exposure settings via a new joystick (as seen on the DMC-LX1).
Major changes / improvements over FZ5
-6 megapixel sensor
-Larger (2.5-inch) screen (lower resolution, however)
-New joystick control for manual focus and exposure operations
-Brighter LCD and EVF performance in low light
-ISO 800 and 1600 options
-VGA movies
-16:9 movie mode
-Body redesign

hayabusa GT ???
This Hayabusa GT comes from Motociclismo, who’ve gone ahead and… well, imagined one! Well, since Kawasaki are already making their 1400 GTR sports-tourer, which uses the ZZR1400’s engine, one wonders why Suzuki haven’t gone down that route. Touring at 320km/h on a Hayabusa GT, anyone?
According to the Motociclismo mock-up, the Hayabusa GT would have a bigger fairing that offers more wind protection, height-adjustable windscreen, higher handlebars, lower footpegs, slightly bigger seat with more generous padding, anti-lock brakes and, of course, a set of saddlebags.
